Structure Type: Very crude 3-legged pole tower. Small triangular open platform with railings but no roof. About 30 feet tall.
No evidence of a living quarters was found on the site, so the observer would have put up a tent or not stayed overnight. It was likely built in the 1910s and was long gone by 1969. (Thanks to Dave Bula and Tim Worth for this background on Lookout Mountain.)
