Wells Gray Park 1950 Helicopter Rescue​
September 23, 2020 marks the 70th anniversary of the Wells Gray Park 1950 Helicopter Rescue, from a forestry lookout on Azure mountain in British Columbia.  Here is a write-up of all aspects of the event, including the people, places, and the machines involved.  This article is courtesy of Ken Flowers of Edmonton Alberta.   

Goodnow Fire Tower in Newcomb (NY) Fundraiser
The Goodnow fire tower needs your help!  After nearly a century of standing guard, the roof has been damaged from storms and is unstable. Because of its condition, access to the cab on top of the Tower is closed until repairs can be made.
