Notes

  • This is currently an active state tower
  • In 1941, a half acre is purchased for the location of this tower
  • This tower was furnished by the US Forest Service at a cost of $1,400
  • This tower is a prototype of the US Forest Service R-6 design, which was not adopted until 1953 for the North Western US
  • In 1957, this tower was taken down and replaced by a steel 68 FT tower with a 10 x 10 FT cab
  • In 1957, two-way radios are installed
