should be noted that the town of Prescott no longer exists
in the state of Massachusetts. To make way for the creation
of the Quabbin Reservoir, the state took the town by eminent
domain. It was disincorporated as a town in 1938
The tower was staffed
until 1913
Although much of
the town is under the Quabbin Reservoir, the former site of
this tower is still on dry land.
